Caucasian Warsaw offers even more atractions! We are starting one hour earlier! Caucasian Warsaw presents series People form the Continent on 25th June 2001 at 2 p.m. on Plac Teatralny and club Resort, Bielańska street 1 – free entry!
We invite you for the 7th time for a series called: People form the Continent, which presents artists, who are of different origin, culture and who live and work in Warsaw. We have decided to introduce this time Caucasian dispora. During the festival in the club Resort and tent town called ”Cucasian Czajchan” are organised a lot of events at the same time starting from 2p.m.
In the Resort club:
- one-day vernissage of following artists: Gamid Ibadullayev, Ajdyn Łazimow, Dawid Pataraji i Argiszt Aghajanyan
- Caucasian film wrkshops – leader Haik Gasparyan
- presentation of quarterly „Nowy Prometeusz” - Hijran Aliyeva-Sztrauch, Aleksandra Gryźlak, Tadeusz Iwański
- discussin pannels
- exhibition of photographs by Ocalenie Fundation „In the middle of the way…”, which presents concert of Gamid Group, a band for which an inspiration is Mugam – a music for thich originates from Azeri folk music
- DJ party will be led by Gija Beżuaszwili, cofunder of the band Zumba
- exhibition of photographs from Caucas prepeared by Kaukaz.net
- distribution of leaflet Kaukaz.net concerning Dagestan and Chechenya
- sale of books „Matrioszka w hidżabie. Reportaże z Dagestanu i Czeczenii”
- sale of Chechen halva and Armenian dried fruit
- reading of fairy- tales, drawing – activities for children led by Magdalena Lejman from Kaukaz.net
- not only for the youngest ones - variosu games – for example chess – Kaukaz.net
- presentation of our Georgian jewellery
- lectures concerning Greorgian cuisine and tradition of Georgian toasts and other customs connected with feasts – Polish Georgiae Faveo Fundation
- presentation of the first published in Poland novel of a contemporary writer Zaza Burchuladze
- information about Georgiae Faveo Fundation and possibility of agricultural holidays in Georgia
- Azeri musical instruments, books, pillows, carpets (you will have opportunity to buy them)
- sheesha and coffee along with Karim Shakinski
- sale of the book by Marcin Meller and Anna Dziewit-Meller „Gaumardżos! Opowieści z Gruzji”
- products from Caucas including yummy lemonade offered by the Tamada company
- stall with georgian vines - Grusignac
- Georgian table – lesson of Georgian savoir vivre by Tamada David Gamtsemlidze. Thanks to the Grusignac company everybody will have chance to make a toast with delicious eorgian vine.
- Rovshan Almazov - lecture on Azeri cuisine
- Georgian restaurant Tbilisi
- presentation of Chechen clothes
- performance of Chechen dancing group led by Majerbek Umalatov. Chechen dancers will present traditional Lowzar connected with marriage and national dances.
At the same time and place will be organised concerts of the festival Transkaukazja, which include:
- project Transkaukazja All-Star Band. Georgain rhytmic section created out of band from Tbilisi - Natural Born Lovers and its leader - Paul Rimple, and from Poland, for the first time as Warsaw Horns – wind-instrument section: Piotr "Korzeń" Korzeniowski, Grzegorz "Fryton" Rytka, Darek "Struś" Plichta, and also singers from the Armenian female band Jazzel and Natiq Shirinov (Azerbaijan),
- Concert of Reincarnation – 9-preson orchestra from orkiestra z Erewan which joins reggae, ska with elements of etnorock,
- Nartiq’s Rhythm Show – drumm show of Natig Shirinov, realised withe the most talented musicians from Azerbaijan
