Transkaukazja 2013 in Germany will include many activities starting from mid May to mid July. Finale in Zittau will include depARTments IV Action - at the riverbank of Neisse/Nysa river (borderland of Germany, Czech and Poland). Find more details about program in Germany.Transkaukazja is probably the only interdisciplinary presentation of contemporary art from the Caucasus in Europe. It occurs biannual in urban spaces and in the open, as well as in modern art galleries, cinemas, theatres and cultural centres. Hereby, great importance is given to interdisciplinary presentations, which connect the different areas of film, music, performing arts and others. After successful first realization in 2011 Transkaukazja this year takes place in Germany for the second time.

Since 2010 Kultur Aktiv is the official German partner already and could realize Transkaukazja in 2011 in Germany for the first time with exhibitions, artists in residence, festival contributions, Marshroutka parties etc. Following the idea of a merging project every time approach and activities change a bit and, therefore, in 2013 a new edition rises up which is based on the experiences from 2011.
