A ground-breaking encounter between Polish folk group Vołosi, a rising star in world music, and Georgia’s 33a, the country’s most active world music group, led by Niaz Diasamidze on Wednesday, 5th of June at 7:15pm in Kings Place
Vołosi is a fiddle-led quintet, including musicians from the Carpathian mountains. 33a features Diasamidze on panduri (the Georgian lute), guitars and percussion – so expect an unusual evening of virtuoso strings. The two bands first played together in Tbilisi in 2011 and are now taking this Transcaucasian meeting on a European tour.
