ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

THE BAMBIR [Armenia]

The Bambir is a rock band with unique history. It is almost a “school" of music deeply rooted in Armenian underground music scene. The band is made of four charismatic fellows who really live by music, broadening its borders beyond the known. Songs of The Bambir are an endless mixture of genres and styles. When asked to define their genre the musicians smile and call it “Discretely Loud”. In their music progressive rock is combined with psychedelic folk, crazy beats and whirling trances. This is the music of truth, struggle, love and the relations between an individual and the society. The music inspired by mystics, poets of the Dark Ages and Rumi.

The Bambir’s philosophy is about the search of unknown, the ways to self-knowledge and the secrets of one’s inner world. Their songs are in English and Armenian, and anybody who ever went to their concert feels the incredible drive in their music, with folk intonations emphasised by the language, and the aggressive guitar riffs on in the back. The Bambir are a great success in Armenia, as well as in USA, Europe, Ireland, and in every corner of the world they go for their love for live concerts.
