MY BLOOD DOES NOT REMEMBER YOUR HISTORY
The Armenian video artist Lusine Talalyan will present her video works under the title “My Blood Does Not Remember Your History” on 22 March (8 p.m.), in the Now-Wow Cinema at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
 


Lusine Talalyan was born in 1975 in Yerevan. From 1992 to 1998 she studied at the Terlemezian Painting Academy and afterwards cinematography at the Film and Theatre Institute in Yerevan until 2003. During this time the camera became her main medium of artistic expression. Due to the fact that she uses an old camera from the Soviet era her film material shows very specific characteristics. Since 2009 Lusine Talalyan has been working on the book “Zarubyan's Women” (Զարուբյանի կանայք) with the writer Shushan Avagyan and is also a member of "Queering Yerevan", which moves mainly within the virtual world (www.queeringyerevan.blogspot.com).
